3 Days Rwanda Gorilla and Golden Monkey Safari
Arrival in Kigali & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
On arrival at Kigali International Airport, or after breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, meet your Kenzi Safaris driver-guide for a short safari briefing.
Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy an optional Kigali city experience, with visits to places such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial or other cultural and historical sites.
Later, begin your journey north towards Volcanoes National Park.
The drive takes you through Rwanda’s beautiful countryside, with views of rolling hills, farmland and small communities along the way.
As you approach Musanze, enjoy views of the Virunga Mountains that form the dramatic backdrop to Volcanoes National Park.
Arrive at your lodge, check in and spend the evening relaxing as you prepare for the following day's gorilla trekking experience.

Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast, transfer to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for your gorilla trekking briefing.
You will meet your ranger guides, learn about the trekking guidelines and then begin your walk into the forest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family.
The trek takes you through beautiful mountain vegetation and bamboo forest. Its length and difficulty depend on the location of the gorillas and the conditions of the trails.
Once the gorillas are located, you will spend the permitted viewing time quietly observing them in their natural habitat. Watch them feed, rest, play and interact while your ranger guide helps you understand their behaviour and family structure.
After this memorable experience, trek back to the starting point and return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Depending on the available time, you may also visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund in Kinigi to learn more about mountain gorillas, conservation and the work that has helped protect them.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Kigali
After an early breakfast, return to Volcanoes National Park for your golden monkey trekking experience.
Following a briefing from the ranger guides, enter the forest and begin searching for these active and colourful primates.
Golden monkeys are commonly found within the park's bamboo forests. Once located, watch them feed, climb and leap between the bamboo as they move through their natural habitat.
After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch before beginning your journey back to Kigali.
Your Kenzi Safaris driver-guide will transfer you to your hotel or Kigali International Airport, marking the end of your 3 Days Rwanda Gorilla & Golden Monkey Safari.
